After delivering 5 tons of diesel to Rmeich, I realize today that my mission is far from complete.
The reality on the ground is much harsher than one can imagine, especially when you go there yourself.
Rmeich, the most populated Christian village in South Lebanon with nearly 7,000 inhabitants, is going through an extremely difficult situation. You can imagine the scale of the shortage: the residents are deprived of the most basic needs that we sometimes take for granted.
Detergents, shampoos, sanitary pads, baby and adult diapers, fruits… even treats for children have become a luxury.
Faced with this daily hardship, I could not remain indifferent.
I have therefore decided to launch a second fundraiser. Because today, helping is no longer a choice in my eyes: it is a moral obligation.
Our community is fighting a real battle to remain rooted in its land. We cannot remain apathetic or indifferent while others live in such difficult conditions.
It is our duty to act together so that our roots endure, and that the Christian presence continues to live in South Lebanon.
